WordStream pricing is a dead end if you want the self-serve tool you remember. The old WordStream Advisor product, including its “20-Minute Work Week” alerts, is gone.

Following the LocaliQ acquisition, WordStream discontinued its standalone self-serve software. Its site now offers free audit tools and routes paid buyers toward LocaliQ’s managed marketing services.

That leaves a practical choice. You can use a recommendation tool such as [Optmyzr](https://www.optmyzr.com/pricing), [Opteo](https://opteo.com/pricing), or Adzooma, then do the work yourself. Or you can choose autonomous management. **Recommendation tools create a to-do list; autonomous management executes it.**

#### WordStream Pricing in 2026: No Self-Serve Platform

Search for WordStream pricing and you will find a decade of old screenshots before you find the current answer. WordStream Advisor once cost $49 to $499 per month. It was [discontinued on January 31, 2022](https://www.ulistic.com/is-wordstream-shutting-down/), and buyers were directed toward LocaliQ.

[WordStream no longer offers a standalone self-service platform](https://www.g2.com/products/localiq/pricing), so **there is no public WordStream software price table to compare**. The useful free remnant is the [Google Ads Grader](https://www.wordstream.com/marketing-performance). It checks Quality Score, wasted spend, and other account-health signals. It is [completely free](https://www.wordstream.com/marketing-performance), but it is a lead magnet, not an account-management tool.

##### What LocaliQ Offers Instead

LocaliQ sells:

- A free self-serve tier listed at **$0** on [G2](https://www.g2.com/products/localiq/pricing), including a Website Grader, basic listings, and call recording.
- **Paid premium solutions by custom quote**, including [managed paid search campaigns, multi-channel advertising, and dedicated account management](https://www.g2.com/products/localiq/pricing).

You are no longer buying the old Advisor workflow, where you logged in and managed campaigns yourself. You are buying a managed service.

> **Practical takeaway:** If you want transparent, self-serve PPC software, WordStream is no longer the comparison. Start with the tools that replaced it.

#### The Three WordStream Alternatives Buyers Usually Compare

When marketers move on from WordStream, they tend to compare **Optmyzr, Opteo, and Adzooma**. All offer public pricing and self-serve onboarding, but they serve different operators.

| Platform | Starting Price | Best For | What You Get |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **[Optmyzr](https://www.optmyzr.com/pricing)** | **$208/month** annually, or $299 month-to-month | Experienced PPC teams | Script libraries, custom rules, pacing, and granular Shopping controls across Google, Microsoft, and Amazon |
| **[Opteo](https://opteo.com/pricing)** | **$129/month** | Marketers who want simple daily recommendations | A prioritized feed of push-button Google Ads improvements |
| **[Adzooma](https://www.adzooma.com/pricing/)** | **Free** Essentials tier | Small accounts and basic auditing | Opportunity audits and automated alerts across Google, Meta, and Microsoft |

##### Optmyzr: Deep Controls for Hands-On Teams

[Optmyzr](https://www.optmyzr.com/pricing) starts at **$208 per month** when billed annually, or $299 month-to-month, for Essentials. That tier covers up to 25 ad accounts and $150,000 in monthly ad spend. Premium costs **$389 per month** for up to $500,000 in spend.

It is built for practitioners who want to build rules, use scripts, monitor pacing, and make granular bid adjustments. I used tools in this category for years on Shopping-heavy accounts. They earn their keep when a capable operator is actually running them.

**Optmyzr gives experts more levers, not fewer tasks.**

##### Opteo: A Cleaner Daily Queue

[Opteo](https://opteo.com/pricing) prices around two caps: account count and monthly spend.

1. **Basic:** $129 per month for up to 10 accounts and $25,000 in spend.
2. **Professional:** $249 per month for up to 25 accounts and $100,000 in spend.
3. **Agency:** $499 per month for up to 75 accounts and $250,000 in spend.

Instead of a complex rule builder, Opteo gives you a prioritized daily feed of Google Ads improvements. It is easier to learn than a heavier platform. It still needs someone to approve the changes.

**Opteo makes the queue easier to work through; it does not remove the queue.**

##### Adzooma: Free Auditing, Then Paid Automation Rules

[Adzooma](https://www.adzooma.com/pricing/) offers a [free-forever Essentials tier](https://www.adzooma.com/pricing/) with basic opportunity audits and automated alerts across Google, Meta, and Microsoft. Paid plans range from **$69 to $179 per month** for deeper automation rules, faster reporting intervals, and more profiles.

For a side project, that free tier can catch obvious waste without forcing you to pay for a dashboard you barely open. I would not run a serious account on it alone.

**Free is useful when the account is simple, not when the workload is not.**

#### The Limitation: Recommendation Tools Still Need an Operator

Every platform above is a **human-in-the-loop recommendation engine**. It finds issues, surfaces alerts, and suggests changes. Then it waits.

When Optmyzr flags a bleeding query or Opteo recommends an ad-group change, nothing changes until someone:

1. Logs in.
2. Reviews the recommendation in context.
3. Decides whether it is right for the business.
4. Clicks “Apply.”

That is not a flaw if you have a dedicated buyer who likes building rules and lives in Google Ads. It is a problem if the person responsible also owns Meta, reporting, creative reviews, client calls, and everything else that accumulates by Thursday afternoon.

The cost is management latency. A tool can flag a bad search term today, but if you review alerts twice a week, that spend keeps leaking until review day. **The software sees the issue; the human delay determines when it gets fixed.**

Recommendation tools also stop at the click. They can help optimize bids, but they do not build or modify dynamic landing pages when conversion rates dip.

#### What Autonomous PPC Management Changes

Autonomous management removes the human-as-button-pusher model. Instead of generating suggestions for later review, a platform such as [groas](https://groas.com/paid-search) executes inside the account **168 hours a week**: pruning irrelevant search terms, reallocating spend toward top-performing queries, and pairing ads with dynamic landing pages that adapt to search intent.

The tradeoff is straightforward:

- **Recommendation platforms** give you line-by-line approval, but you provide the labor to act on every recommendation.
- **Autonomous management** handles tactical execution within defined guardrails, while a human strategist oversees the broader strategy.

[groas](https://groas.com/pricing) costs **$999 per month for up to $15,000 in monthly ad spend**. The point is not to remove judgment. It is to stop paying human hourly rates for mechanical work a machine can execute faster.

**Keep human judgment for strategy, not repetitive account maintenance.**

#### Which PPC Tool Fits Your Team?

I stopped asking which tool had the longest feature list. I started asking who would click “Apply” at 9 p.m. on a Thursday. That question settles most pricing debates faster than a feature matrix.

| Team | Monthly Ad Spend | Best Fit | Why It Fits |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Solo marketer or micro-business | Under $5k | **Adzooma** | The free tier covers basic opportunities without complex rules |
| Freelancer or small agency, 5–10 accounts | $10k–$25k | **Opteo** | $129/month Basic provides daily push-button fixes with little setup |
| Performance team with a full-time buyer | $50k–$500k | **Optmyzr** | $208–$389/month provides scripts, pacing, and Shopping controls the team can use |
| Business or agency that wants execution handled | $5k–$15k | **[groas](https://groas.com/pricing)** | $999/month for autonomous execution 168 hours a week, with a dedicated strategist inside the guardrails |

Here is the short version:

- **Choose Opteo if you want simple.** You get a clean daily feed and approve each fix. It is inexpensive and quick to learn, but it sits idle when you do.
- **Choose Optmyzr if you want powerful.** You get the rule builder, script library, and cross-channel pacing. It works best when someone senior is paid to run it.
- **Choose Adzooma if you want free.** Essentials catches obvious waste. For a side project, it beats paying for features you never open.
- **Choose autonomous management if you want the work done.** [groas](https://groas.com/paid-search) does not ask you to clear a recommendation queue. It prunes search terms, moves budget, rewrites ad variants, and reshapes landing pages within the boundaries you set.

This will not fit everyone. If you spend north of $250k a month and need enterprise bid modeling across five engines, look at SA360. If you genuinely enjoy hand-tuning bids as craft, keep Optmyzr and keep tuning.

But if you searched WordStream pricing because you wanted capable software at a predictable price and found a custom-quote managed service instead, use the simpler comparison: tool cost plus labor versus a flat $999 for continuous execution. **Pay for the option that moves CPA, not the one that merely reports on it.**
